This new podcast series is hosted by Mike Harlow, HM Land Registry’s Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Customer & Strategy. Throughout the series, Mike will talk with leaders and influencers across the property sector about the changes that need to be made to make the property market better for all involved, and how they can work together to achieve them. We are joined today by Kate Faulkner OBE, Chair of the Home Buying and Selling Group. She is one of the UK’s leading property experts. She is passionate that most of the problems in the residential property market can be solved if the media industry and government work together to educate consumers on how to carry out property projects.
The Digital Property Market Steering Group (DPMSG) is formed of a cross-section of institutions and bodies representing both the commercial and residential sectors. It has a shared goal of accelerating change to a digital property market whilst ensuring it is transparent, secure, and user-friendly. Much good progress has already been made through innovation within the market generally and by collaborative initiatives like the Home Buying and Selling Group (HBSG). The DPMSG members' aims are to support all that by ensuring their collective and individual actions are conducive to that healthy progress. It’s all about pulling together to remove the barriers, fill in the gaps, and speed up progress to a simpler faster and less stressful process.
